Intelligent control units

Control units act as the intelligence of Signal. Once the simple
operating principle of a control unit is understood, it is clear how easily
different systems can be created by combining different Signal
products.

Control units operate like conventional emergency centers. There are
either one or two loops in the units. The loops can be connected to
buttons and switches, or any other opening or closing contacts.
A terminal resistor of 1kΩ is connected to the end of the loop. If a short
circuit or break occurs in the loop, the control unit will detect it. The
units have a voltage output and a potential-free changeover contact,
both of which are activated in the event of an alarm. They can be reset
to normal mode using the reset button.
