2020 was a year unlike any of us could have imagined. Countries, companies and
people worldwide were faced with many difficulties that hopefully will soon be
behind us. However, we should not forget all the valuable lessons we have learned
during these trying times.

They say that necessity is the mother of invention. Over the past year, we have all
had to discover new ways of working. Some of these will continue to serve us well
once things begin to normalise.

Meeting with our customers and partners has always been very important to us at
Planmeca. When the coronavirus pandemic started, we quickly realised that we must
move these interactions online.

To start, we organised a full series of webinars in several different languages as
part of our new Time to Learn training concept. These webinars have allowed our
customers to further improve their expertise and to make the most of their Planmeca
equipment. They have also been an effective way for us to cover highly topical themes,
such as infection control.

Later in the year, we also took our popular Digital Dentistry World Tour online for
the first time ever. It was a completely new type of dental event that was streamed in
eight languages in total. Thousands of viewers from over 100 countries were able to
tune in and discover how to use digital workflows to create new revenue and increase
efficiency.

Among the products we launched this year was version 6 of our powerful
Planmeca Romexis® software platform. The new software version has elevated
usability to the next level and it also offers a staggering number of useful tools and
features. Using dental software has never been as easy or enjoyable.

2021 marks the 50th anniversary of Planmeca and we will certainly highlight this
milestone in several ways throughout the year. I hope you all stay tuned!
